DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) -- A woman in her 70s is recovering from injuries suffered Wednesday night when she was attacked by her Border Collie.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. just north of King Lake in Omaha.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department the woman suffered severe bites to her scalp, arm and hand.
The deputy who arrived on the scene reported that the 40 pound dog was acting in a vicious manner. The deputy managed to get the animal locked in a shed until the Humane Society arrived.
The victim was not immediately identified.
