UTICA, Neb. -- The Centennial football team is one win away from finishing with back-to-back undefeated regular season records.

The Broncos are 8-0 in 2017 after posting a 9-0 record in 2016.

Centennial is still looking to breakthrough in the postseason. The Broncos were upset by Yutan in the first round of the Class C2 playoffs last fall.

Junior quarterback Wyatt Ehlers, who is a three-year starter, leads the way for Centennial in 2017. Ehlers ranks ninth among all 11-man quarterbacks in Nebraska with 1,455 passing yards. He has 21 passing touchdowns to go along with just three interceptions.

Centennial will look to finish off a perfect regular season when the Broncos host Sutton (7-1) Friday, October 20.
