Edwards makes move to infield, looks to shine in new role

LINCOLN, Neb. – A sophomore for the Nebraska softball team is looking to make a name for herself this season, while also stepping out of the shadows cast by her older siblings.

Tristen Edwards made 46 starts in right field for the Huskers in 2017, but will be making the unusual jump to shortstop after showing flashes of excellence as a freshman.

Edwards comes from a line of talented athletes, as her older sister is the career home run leader for Nebraska, and her other sister is a two-time All-American.

But after batting .281 with 9 doubles and four home runs last season, 2018 could be Tristen’s opportunity to shine for the Huskers.
