LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska junior quarterback Tanner Lee was voted a captain by his teammates before taking a snap in a regular season game for the Huskers.
Lee, a transfer from Tulane, is preparing for his first season as Nebraska's starting QB. He won the job after a strong performance during the 2017 spring season.
Lee will be NU's first full-time, pocket-passer QB in almost a decade.
Nebraska opens the season Saturday, September 2 when the Huskers host Arkansas State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
