Nebraska volleyball celebrates a National Championship

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska volleyball team celebrated its national championship Sunday with a rally at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The Huskers beat Florida 3-1 Saturday night to win the fifth national title in program history.

On Sunday, the team arrived back in Lincoln and celebrated with its fans.

Head Coach John Cook talked about the great journey the team went on throughout the season and highlighted some specific people, including Sydney Townsend and Briana Holman, for special achievements of their own.

He also honored the seniors, who won two national titles in their time at Nebraska.

Chancellor Ronnie Green and Athletic Director Bill Moos both lauded the Huskers for their achievements and for representing the state of Nebraska well.
