LINCOLN, Neb. - Head coach for the Nebraska football team Mike Riley’s contract has been extended by the University of Nebraska for one year through the 2020 season, according to a copy of the contract received by 1011 News.
Riley’s was previously signed through the 2019 season, and he is contracted to make $3,000,000 in 2018 and $3,100,000 in 2019.
After the extension, Riley’s contract will expire on Feb. 28, 2021.
Riley, who previously coached at Oregon State, came to Nebraska in 2015, and holds a 16-12 record as a Husker.
Nebraska is 1-1 on the season in 2017, and suffered its first loss of the year last Saturday against Oregon.
