Schreiber picked by Houston in MLB Draft

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska senior outfielder Scott Schreiber was selected by the Houston Astros in the MLB Draft Tuesday.

Schreiber was picked in the 9th round, 282nd overall.

The 6'3" 225-pound Wisconsin native hit .369 for the Huskers this season, with 18 HR and 48 RBI.

Schreiber was picked in the 26th round in 2017 by Tampa Bay, but opted to return to Nebraska.

The slot value for Schreiber's spot is estimated at $144,000.
