Schreiber returns for senior season

Scott Schreiber could've bypassed his senior season at Nebraska after getting drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays. The 26th-round selection decided to return to Lincoln because of some "unfinished business."

Schreiber says he wants to improve his durability and plate discipline in 2018. The senior slugger is coming off a season where he led the Huskers in most offensive categories including home runs. His 7 homers, however, were a decrease after smacking 16 round-trippers in 2016.

In an effort to improve his power, Schreiber shed 25 pounds over the off-season. He says he improved his diet while continuing his training over the winter months.
