10/11 Summer Road Trip
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
1. PROMOTION DATES
a. The 10/11 Summer Road Trip (“Promotion”) will begin on May 6, 2013 at 6:00am CT and end on August 7, 2013 at 11:59pm CT.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (except NY and FL) who are licensed and insured drivers, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who live in Nebraska. The prize winner (or the prize winner’s designated driver, if prize winner is under 25 years of age) must possess a valid driver’s license and must have valid automobile insurance (and must provide proof of insurance at time of rental). Employees of KOLN/KGIN (the “Stations”), their corporate parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, their advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other broadcasting stations in the Lincoln-Hastings-Kearney television designated market area, and the members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings or children) or households are ineligible to participate or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the United States, in NY and FL, as applicable, and where prohibited.
b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any six month period, in any Station-conducted contest/sweepstakes, unless stated otherwise. Winning participants must sign a participant release form and provide a valid driver’s license.
c. By entering, all entrants automatically grant release and permission to KOLN/KGIN to read and display their name on-air, on 1011NOW.COM and in any promotion of this or any other contest, and must waive any claim of royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Stations will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Stations will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. ENTRY
a. To participate in the Promotion, download or pick up a copy of a 10/11 Summer Road Trip Passport (“Passport”). Passports are available in two ways:
1) via the internet at 1011Now.com/summerroadtrip. Follow the Summer Road Trip link to download and print your Passport; or
2) you may pick up a Passport available at either the KOLN or KGIN studios at no cost during regular office hours:

b. Once entrants have obtained their Passports, entrants must visit participating sponsor locations (“Hot Spots”) as listed in the Passport. At each Hot Spot visited, participants must request a unique stamp for their Passport. No purchase is required, and there is no charge for a stamp. Only one (1) stamp will be issued per Hot Spot per Passport. An entrant may present only one (1) Passport. Once participants have obtained a minimum of six (6) unique stamps in their Passports, they may be entered into the prize drawing. Hot Spots are listed below:

c. Once you have obtained a minimum of six (6) unique stamps from the Hot Spots on your printed Passport as described above, complete the entry form on the Passport, and either hand deliver or mail the Passport to Summer Road Trip, KOLN TV, 840 N. 40th St., Lincoln, NE 68503. Postmark deadline is August 7th, 2013. Entries will not be accepted if postmarked after August 7th, 2013, or if dropped-off in person after August 7th, 2013. Entrants must provide all requested information in the entry form, including the entrant’s first name and last name, complete postal address (street, city, state, and zip code), email address, telephone number, and date of birth.
d. ONLY ONE PASSPORT PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD IS PERMITTED.
4. PRIZE
a. One (1) prize: a prize certificate valid for a one (1) week rental of a Class C Motor Home from Leach Camper Sales (2013 Campers only). Prize certificate shall be valid for up to 1,000 miles. Operator of the motor home must be 25 years of age. The prize winner (or the prize winner’s designated driver, if prize winner is under 25 years of age) must possess a valid driver’s license and must have valid automobile insurance (and must provide proof of insurance at time of rental). The prize certificate does not include any applicable taxes, fees, fuel, insurance, tolls, mileage in excess of 1,000 miles, or any other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. Winner's selection of vehicle's model (2013 campers only), floor plan, options and equipment will be based on dealer stock/availability at time of rental. Vehicles shall have a maximum occupancy of 8 to 10 people. Prize certificate shall be valid from September 1, 2013 through May 18, 2014. Prize Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $1,615.70.
b. The prize is provided as is. Neither the Promotion Entities nor the dealer/retailer have made or are responsible in any manner for any warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or law, relating to the prize, including without limitation, its quality, mechanical condition, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, with the exception of any standard manufacturer’s warranty that may apply to the prize. Prize's actual retail value may vary from the ARV stated herein due to the winners' selection of vehicle make, model, options, accessories, or delivery location, and any applicable taxes or government-required fees not specified herein. In the event winner chooses a vehicle valued less than the stated maximum ARV, winner will not receive compensation or cash for difference.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of Stations’ management with respect to the Promotion are final.
b. One (1) potential prize winner will be selected by the Stations in a random drawing, which will be held live during 10/11 First at Four (4:00pm CST) on Monday, August 12, 2013.
c. The odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of entries received.
d. The potential prize winner does not need to be present or watching the drawing to be eligible to win.
e. The potential prize winner’s name will be announced live on-air during 10/11 First at Four. The potential prize winner’s name will also be posted on the Summer Road Trip web page. The potential prize winner will be contacted by phone and/or mail and given information on how to collect the prize and any necessary forms that will need to be signed. The prize is awarded only upon confirmation of prize winner’s eligibility. Winners (or their parents or legal guardians if under the age of majority) must provide proof of identity and must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within ten (10) calendar days of notification attempt or winner will be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen in a random drawing. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to complete, sign and return any required affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
f. The winner will arrange for the delivery of the prize, and complete all necessary forms, with the Sponsor of the Summer Road Trip promotion. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within ten calendar (10) days of winning. Prize or prize certificates will not be mailed to the winner without the winner’s prior written consent, and mutual agreement with the Sponsor, in which the winner shall agree to assume its risk of loss. Gray Television Group, Inc., the Station, its sponsors, or promotional partner are not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
6. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent including the winner’s full Social Security Number for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
b. Participating in the Promotion and acceptance of prize constitutes winner’s and guest’s (where applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to photograph, film and record each winner, and to use his/her name, address (city and state), likeness, photograph, voice, biographical information and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Promotion or its sponsors for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, and depending on the nature of the prize and eligibility requirements of the Promotion, the Station in its sole discretion will require verification of Promotion winner’s identification by a showing of valid government-issued photo identification. By participating and/or accepting a prize, entrants, winners and guests (if applicable) agree to release and hold harmless the Station, its sponsor(s) and promotional partner(s), its advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns of each of them (collectively, the “Released Parties”) harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Promotion. The Station will also require eligible Promotion winners and their guests or travel companions, if any (as well as each of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), if winners, guests or travel companions are under the age of majority in their state of residence), to sign a liability release confirming such consent.
d. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person (and all of their entries) from this Promotion if he or she tampers with the entry process, the operation of the Promotion, or the operation of the Station’s web channel or is otherwise in violation of the rules. The Station further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion, or any part of it, if it is not capable of completion as planned or if any fraud, technical failures or any factor beyond the Station’s control, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion as determined by the Station in is sole discretion. Any attempt by an entrant or any person to deliberately damage any station web channel or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Station reserves the right to seek full prosecution and/or damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Station’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of this provision. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. The Released Parties are not responsible for and shall not be held liable for (i) typographical, or other errors, or technical difficulties in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Promotion, or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties, malfunctions, disconnections, other technological failures, interruption or delay in postal service or delivery, telephone service outages, delays, dropped calls, or busy signals, or any other difficulties that may prevent an individual from sending or receiving a text message; (iii) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, or late entries; (iv) Released Parties are not responsible or liable and shall be held harmless for any injury, loss or damage, whether personal or property, including without limitation any injury, loss or damage to participants, Entrants or to any person's computer, related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion and/or accepting the Prizes. Further, the Released Parties are not liable or responsible for, and shall be defended, indemnified, held harmless and released by the winner (and jointly and severally by the motor home operator, if different) against any claims, liabilities, lawsuits, judgments, causes of action, proceedings, injuries, death, losses, costs, expenses or damages of any kind resulting from, in connection with, or arising from acceptance, receipt, delivery, use, nonuse, misuse, defect in, inability to use, possession, or loss of the Prize. Released Parties shall not be liable to the winner or any other person for any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God; any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entities (whether or not they prove to be valid); equipment failure; terrorist acts; earthquake; fire; flood; war; explosion; unusually severe weather; hurricane; embargo; labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal); labor or material shortage; transportation interruption of any kind; work slow-down; civil disturbance; insurrection; riot; or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s sole control. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees to release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Released Parties from and against any injuries, death, losses, costs, expenses, damages, claims, judgments, causes of action and any liability of any kind in connection with, resulting from or arising from the Promotion, participation in the Promotion, including without limitation, acceptance, receipt, delivery, possession, use, misuse, inability to use, defect or nonuse or loss of the Prize that may be awarded. Further, as a condition of participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and by all applicable laws and decisions of the Stations which shall be binding and final; (ii) to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with respect to these Official Rules; (iii) to waive all of his/her rights to bring any claim, action, or proceeding against any of the Released Parties in connection with the Promotion.
f. To obtain a copy of the Official Rules following completion of the promotion, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Summer Road Trip Official Rules Request”, KOLN/KGIN TV, 840 N. 40th St., Lincoln, NE, 68503. A copy of the Official Rules and name of the winner (when complete) are also available during regular business hours at the main studio of KOLN/KGIN TV. All such requests must be received within thirty (30) calendar days following completion of the Promotion.
7. TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT & PRIVACY POLICY
a. By use of this web channel and by entering this Promotion, you agree to the Station’s Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: “www.1011Now.com”.
