  • Nebraska Lions All-Star High School Golf Tournament, June 25: At Meadowlark Hills Golf Course, 3300 30th Avenue.
  • Kearney Community Theatre presents Theatre Three, June 25-29: Registrations are being accepted for 6th-12th grades summer Theatre Three workshops! Learn to use body, voice, and imagination in fun and unique ways while building your skills in rehearsed scenes as well as improvised scenes. The class is for beginners and experienced actors. To register, call the KCT Box Office at (308) 234-1529. Tuition is $30.
  • Central Nebraska Veterans Home Career Fair, June 28: The Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting a career fair at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Learn about hiring incentives, state benefits, and available openings. There will be refreshments, giveaways, and tours of the facility.
  • Pony Express Re-Ride, June 29: The National Pony Express Association will relay mail by horse and rider on the Pony Express National Historic Trail June 20-30, passing through Fort Kearny on June 29. The re-ride will start at the Pony Express Plaza in Old Sacramento, California and will end in St. Joseph, Missouri. The 1,966 mile trail crosses Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas. The re-ride is the longest equestrian event in the United States. Biscuits and Gravy will be served.
