Eight Arrested In Connection With Hastings Assaults and Burglary

Hastings Police have arrested eight men they say are connected to a burglary and assaults that happened on October 25th.

The Hastings Police Department has arrested eight more men in connection with the October 25, burglary and assaults which
occurred in the 1000 Block of North Williams.

On Friday, the Hastings Police Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol executed a search warrant at 1911 W 3rd Street, according to officials.

The following individuals were arrested at various locations within the city:
1 - Gilbert J. Gomez Jr., age 18 of 1911 W 3rd St, Hastings
2 - Patrick G. Gomez, age 19, of 1911 W 3rd St, Hastings
3 - An 18 year old male from Juniata
4 - An 18 year old male from Hastings
5 - An 18 year old male from Bladen
6 - A 16 year old male from Hastings
7 - A 15 year old male from Hastings
8 - A 15 year old male from Hastings.

Arrest warrants were issued for the each of the individuals charging them with a count of Burglary, four counts of 2nd Degree Assault, four counts of Possession of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and one count conspiracy to commit a class 3 felony.

Each crime is a Class 3 felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, a
maximum of a $25,000 fine, or both.

The juveniles have been charged as adults and their names may be available at a later date.

Bond was set at $250,000 and the individuals are currently being processed at the Adams County Jail.

This case remains under investigation by the Hastings Police Department.
