A Kearney man is dead following a collision just west of Minden.
According to the Kearney County Sheriff's Office, a report of a two vehicle injury accident just west of Minden on HWY 6 & 34 came in at about 8:00 a.m. Monday.
A westbound 2005 Dodge Mini Van driven by 27-year-old Christopher Liner of Kearney crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2003 Freightliner Truck driven by 56-year-old Dennis Swearingen of Atlanta, said a statement from the Kearney County Sheriff Office.
Liner was transported to Good Samaritan in Kearney where he was pronounced dead.
Swearingen was wearing his seat belt. Liner was not.
Minden Fire Department, Minden Police Department, Good Samaritan, Kearney County Emergency Management and The Nebraska Department of Roads responded to the scene.
The accident is being investigated by the Kearney County Sheriffs Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
