Educator's Employment Fair Draws School Reps from Alaska to Texas

School system representatives from as far away as Alaska and Texas, as well as more than 25 in-state schools, will be on hand at the University of Nebraska at Kearney's Educator's Employment Fair.

EDUCATOR'S EMPLOYMENT FAIR SET FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 30, ON UNK CAMPUS

School system representatives from as far away as Alaska and Texas will be on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus Tuesday, March 30, seeking teachers, counselors, speech language pathologists and administrators at the Educators' Employment Fair.

When: Tuesday, March 30 from 9:30 am - 2 pm
Where: UNK Student Union, 2nd Floor

No charge to participate,
but individuals must register
by 5:00 pm on March 24.

 

 

 

In all, there will be more that 30 employers represented at the event, which will take place from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union. The Fair is being sponsored by the UNK Office of Academic and Career Services and is open to current students and UNK alumni as well as graduates of other institutions.

While there is no charge to participate, individuals must register by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 24. Individuals can register over the Internet by clicking the link below or by calling the UNK Office of Academic and Career Services at 308.865.8501.

We invite the employers to the city and campus of UNK, and provide an engaging environment where the hiring needs of employers can be matched with our skilled education graduates, said Mary Daake, UNK Office of Academic and Career Services director. In the past, more than 200 people have participated in the employment fair. We have the following schools registered for the first time in many years: Cross County in Stromsburg, Schuyler Community Schools in Schuyler and St. Marys School in ONeill, Daake said.
