State Patrol Investigating Overnight Fatality in Hastings
Hastings NEB State Patrol investigates a fatality accident in Hastings. 21-year-old Cozad resident pronounced at the scene.

According to Nebraska State Patrol, Troopers were sent to investigate an accident near 9th and Baltimore in Hastings.
NSP said at 2:00 a.m. Thursday, 21-year-old Raymond Heuck of Cozad, was traveling west on West 9th between Hewett Ave. and Baltimore Ave. in Hastings.
NSP says Heuck's Chevrolet Cobalt struck a parked goose neck trailer then hit a payloader parked nearby. Hueck was pronounced dead at the scene.
10/11 News called Hastings Police to see if there were any road closures and learned that the accident occurred in an area where the road was supposed to be closed for construction.
At 6:00 a.m. officials were still at the scene reconstructing the accident.

Spc Raymond A Heuck will be remembered as a Hero who was willing to fight for our country and our freedom. Stand down Soldier. Rest in Peace. You will not be forgotten.

I knew raymond personally we miss u ray u are survived by many including ur wife and child. u were a great soldier,husband,friend and daddy. He was a few days away from deploying we all just had a bbq w him and he put last on his facebook he would be home b 4 his wife and son knew it. we love u ray .

Ray Heuck was a specialist (SPC/E4) in the Army National Gurd of Nebraska, he was to begin a mobilization with his unit, located in Hastings, to deploy to Afghanistan.

i know ray and his family well and i am sorry for their loss he was a good kid and will be greatly missed our thoughts and prayers are with you all

I just want to say its pretty pathetic that We found out more details on this news report then we did from the police!!
