A 21-year-old Bradshaw woman has been given two years of probation for felony forgery.

Court records say Cassie English, of Bradshaw, had pleaded no contest after prosecutors dropped two related charges. The York News-Times says she was sentenced Monday in York County District Court.

Prosecutors say English tried to cash a $550 check written on the account of a York business last September. A Bradshaw bank teller noticed the signature didn't match those on other checks from the company.

English also must serve 60 days of community service.
