KOLNKGIN Golden Apple
Golden Apple Award

Everyone remembers a special teacher...one that helped you through a difficult time, helped you discover a passion, or helped guide you as you made decisions about college and your future.

May 16-20th, KOLN/KGIN TV will honor five outstanding teachers from schools in our viewing area with the 10/11 Golden Apple Awards. Elementary and high school students are asked to submit nomination letters about a teacher that inspired them. Five teachers will be selected and featured in news stories recognizing their contributions to education and their students.

Watch 10/11 News at Six and First News Nebraska during the week of May 16th. Each day, a different teacher will be awarded the 10/11 Golden Apple Award sponsored by Nebraska Wesleyan University. All 5 stories will also be posted at 1011now.com after they air.
