What is life like after a brain injury? A free event planned at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital seeks to deal with this question and much more.

Lois McElravy, who is originally from Nebraska, will speak at Madonna from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Sheridan Room on June 30th.

Lois will tell you from personal experience that there's nothing funny about living with a brain injury. But she says, "there's plenty to laugh about."

Lois grew up believing that she could accomplish anything she set her
mind to do. She never considered her mind would turn out to be her
biggest challenge.

Come listen to Lois as she shares her emotional journey of confronting her personal loss and adjusting to a sudden life change caused by a brain injury. Learn how you can use the power of humor and the magic of laughter to distance yourself from your troubles, gain a new perspective, forget fear, find hope and dare to feel happy in the midst of trying times.

Again, the free event takes place at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital on June 30th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sheridan Room.
