The Lymphoma Research Foundation will bring its efforts to Nebraska this spring to raise money for lymphoma research and education.
The group will host the first Nebraska "Lymphomathon" on April 24 at Mahoney State Park.
This year, the foundation will hold events in 24 cities as part of the fundraising effort. The fundraiser offers survivors, family, friends, community and corporate teams an opportunity to walk in honor of those whose lives have been touched by lymphoma.
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that involves the lymph nodes. About 450 new cases of the disease are diagnosed in Nebraskans each year.
For information about starting a team, joining one or signing up as an individual, visit www.lymphomathon.org.
