Second Kwik Shop Robbery in Five Days

Officer Flood on the Kwik Shop Robbery

The Kwik Shop at 40th & A was robbed shortly after 5:00 a.m. Wednesday and Lincoln police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect.

Officer Time Abele said the robbery suspect entered the Kwik Shop and demanded money.

Abele said the suspect was armed with a small semi-automatic handgun.

"The clerk did the right thing and gave the robber money," he said. "You don't want to jeopardize your safety in a situation like this."

Officer Abele said the suspect is described as a black male, 6-feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, a grey scarf and grey sweatpants. Abele said the suspect was also wearing white shoes and was described as having a rough voice.

Abele said the suspect was last seen going southbound into the neighborhoods at 40th Street but that police have yet to locate him.

Abele said the description of this robbery is similar to a robbery at the 33rd and Holdrege street Kwik Shop Saturday and Lincoln Police believe they may be connected.
