Grand Island museum patrons and artists celebrated another successful spring showing.
The Stuhr Museum's 24th annual "Wings Over the Platte" exhibit and sale showcased about a hundred works, and the event's closing reception gave attendees a chance to mingle with featured painters and sculptors.
The show's Platte River themed works struck a chord with art lovers, and art buyers.
Featured artist Patricia Scarborough: "I've been very pleased. I've had many collectors who've stopped by to add to their collections, and I noticed that several folks out there in the juried exhibit have made some sales, so it's nice that people appreciate the quality of art that's being produced here in Nebraska and are willing to invest in that."
The free event wrapped up the exhibit for this year with music and food for the museum patrons.
