Police Search for Suspects after Party Ends with Gunfire

Police are trying to locate the people who fired several shots after being asked to leave a party.

Just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning, Lincoln Police were called to the 3200 block of Dudley Street after several callers reported hearing multiple shots fired.

According to Sergeant Craig Price, officers arrived as numerous vehicles were leaving the area.

10/11 News spoke with several witnesses who said there had been a party at the house with around 25 people. A large group of people arrived saying they had been invited.

One witness said, "There was a big ruckus when those guys were asked to leave."

Other witnesses said the outcasts were arguing others outside the house and at one point, they tried to get back into the house by breaking windows.

Another witness said there was a shoving match between a couple of guys when someone fired several rounds into the air. The shots broke up the fight and second group of people began leaving quickly.

Sgt. Price said several casings were found.

Police did not find any sign of anything hit by bullets and they spoke with several neighbors making sure no one in any nearby home may have been injured.

Price said they are following up on leads to determine who fired the shots.
