Chilly temps didn't dampen the holiday spirit of Star City Holiday parade goers.
From Elmo to Cookie Monster, Lincoln's streets filled with childhood joys.
During the 24th annual Star City Holiday Parade --- a parade themed around your favorite toys.
"You know some of the things she was looking forward to was like the Nemo. I saw the big Nemo float and she got real excited about that," said Lincoln resident Darrell McAllister.
It's an un-official start to Lincolnite's holiday season.
"It's so exciting just to see the holiday spirit and see the effort and the community come together," said parade goer, Jamie Kreikemeier.
Moms and dads, sisters and brothers gather to watch for a few simple reasons.
"Oh, I always just enjoy looking at all the floats and creativity," said Kreikemeier.
Children's faces lit up with delight, as an over-sized clown fish came into view.
2009 marked the character's parade debut.
Some classic Christmas tunes to top off the day.
And another Star City Holiday parade, has come and gone on it's way.
