Daytime Burglaries Leave Families with Thousands in Losses

Two expensive daytime burglaries leave the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office searching for suspects.
Sheriff Terry Wagner said both burglaries happened before noon Friday.
Wagner said the first happened near Greenwood at 18303 North 162nd street, where someone kicked-in a door, and stole $5,000 worth of jewelry.
A similar theft happened on the opposite end of the county near Hickman.
Sheriff Wagner said no forced entry was found at the residence at 18155 South 96th street, but someone stole jewelry, computers, televisions and games worth more than $16,000.
