We're just days away from what some are calling the Huskers biggest game since they played in the Rose Bowl. This Saturday, Nebraska takes on the University of Southern California and thousands of Husker fans will be filling the USC stands. But if you're still hoping to get to the game, chances are either slim or very pricey.
The Lincoln Airport has already started flying hundreds of Husker fans out for the Nebraska, USC game.
"Very excited and we're ready for go big red to win the game," says Sharon Clark.
"I think it's going to be a great game," says Bob Rinne.
These fans booked their tickets well in advance for a game that's become a hot commodity just to get to.
"We booked well in advance, six months, eight months I guess," says Brad Clark.
"A lot of planning, a lot of thought, a lot of saving of our money so we're ready to go," says John O'Connor.
Steve Glenn with Executive Travel says they've sold hundreds of tickets and special tour trips for this game, but it wasn't easy for them to get game tickets either.
"To get tickets to USC, about six months ago, we went and bought season tickets, so we're one of USC's largest season ticket holders," says Glenn.
Glenn says while getting to the game is still not totally out of the question, it's just not going to be cheap.
"If you're looking for commercial seats, it's tough to find anything under $700 to $800 and there's just one or two seats. It's just hard to find any seats left," says Glenn.
Game tickets are also costing anywhere from one hundred to two hundred dollars. But whether you're watching the game from the stands, or from your living room, Husker fans will all be united as they chant in unison, Go Big Red!
The Huskers fly out Friday morning. For those of you still trying to figure out a way to get to the game, Steve Glenn recommends getting a flight out of Kansas City, which will run you about three to four hundred dollars.
