As Nebraska waits for its share of federal stimulus dollars, Governor Dave Heineman says he wants to use that money towards roads and highways.

According to the governor, road and highway projects will help slow Nebraska's slumping economy as well as create jobs here in Nebraska.

"There's one thing I know for sure. There's a roads infrastructure funding that is going to be very important to Nebraska. That will create jobs in the construction industry, we're prepared to move forward on that," said Gov. Heineman.

Nebraska is expected to receive around one billion dollars in federal stimulus dollars with $235 million going towards highway construction.

235 million going towards highway construction. Where is the rest of the 1 billion going? Still i am willing to bet that this plan won't create jobs.

Is it interesting or hypocritical that the NE Gov. is pouncing on Stimulus money, when our 3 congressmen and 1 senator voted against the plan?
