A motorcycle driver went to jail after fleeing a state trooper at speeds of up to 145 mph.
Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Deb Collins said the incident began about 5:45 Wednesday evening. Collins said the short pursuit ended without incident after the motorcycle driver pulled into a farmstead just north of Branched Oak Road.
The driver of the motorcycle, 23-year-old Jessee Newman of Lincoln
was arrested for Flight to Avoid Arrest, Speeding 145 mph/65 mph zone, 2nd Offense Driving Under Suspension, Willful Reckless Driving, No Operator’s License, No Motorcycle Endorsement, and Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce.
