Southeast Community College's Lincoln Campus is hosting the 2009 Earth Wellness Festival March 30-31. Every 5th grader in Lincoln Public Schools, plus some from surrounding communities, spent a day learning about ecological issues surrounding land, water, air and wildlife. Each class participated in three workshops in those areas and then got to see a Raptor Show from the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis, MO. They estimate that approximately 4,000 elementary school children will have participated when the even is over.
