In a news release issued Wednesday by Knox County Sheriff Jim Janecek, the Knox county attorney's office announced it would allow Devon and Sean Schade to continue living with a "close family member." The county attorney will not seek to make them wards of the state.

Their parents, Matthew and Rowena Schade, turned themselves in to authorities Monday. The family left their Creighton home after being questioned March 20 about abuse allegations.

The Schades are suspected of using a stolen vehicle while traveling to western South Dakota and back to Nebraska.

The parents are jailed in Knox County for violating terms of their probation.
