State officials have closed a stretch of Interstate 80 in southeast Nebraska for pavement repairs.
The Department of Roads says about eight miles of westbound lanes will be closed until around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The department says westbound traffic will be directed off the interstate at the Utica interchange north to U.S. 34. Drivers will then be directed back to the interstate for re-entry at the Waco interchange.

I just got out of school at 3:30 and they are still coming down 34. None of the students could get on the highway because of the mess, so we all had to take gravel. I hope they're almost done.
