Man Dies in Construction Accident
Brainard A Valparaiso man was killed in a construction accident Monday near Brainard, Nebraska.

A Valparaiso man was killed in a construction accident Monday near Brainard, Nebraska.
According to Butler County Sheriff Mark Hecker, four men were building a machine shed on a farm just east of Brainard when high winds caused the shed's framework to topple. Hecker said 37-year old Dale Rezac fell approximately 25-feet to the ground and was pinned by falling lumber. He was transported to the Butler County Health Care Center in David City where he was pronounced dead.
Hecker said forty-five year old Robert Schidler of Ceresco suffered minor injuries in the incident. The other two workers were not injured.
