One of two teenagers accused of killing a cat, then showing a video of the incident to other teens was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Lancaster County Court.

Seventeen-year-old Andrew Kratz of Eagle has been charged with felony animal cruelty. A preliminary hearing has been set for May 28 and bond set at 10 percent of $2,500.

According to court documents, prosecutors allege that Kratz and Jacob Weichel, of rural Lincoln, cruelly mistreated the cat on March 13.

Weichel is accused of shooting the cat with a bow and arrow. The arrow hit the cat, but didn't kill it. Kratz allegedly picked up the cat by its tail and slammed it against a picnic table, then beat it with a log. Authorities say a brother of one of the teens used his cell phone camera to record the incident, which was seen by several students at Waverly High School.
