Tornadoes and heavy rain were moving through Nebraska's Panhandle Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Scotts Bluff and northwestern Morrill counties. It estimates as much as five inches of rain have fallen in isolated areas.

That warning will extend into Wednesday night.

The Weather Service had issued tornado warnings Wednesday afternoon for Scotts Bluff and portions of Morrill and Sioux counties.

The Weather Service said radar at 3:57 p.m. MDT indicated a tornado about 28 miles south of Alliance.

It also said a police officer reported a tornado about a dozen miles west of Scottsbluff and radar tracked one near Minatare.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
