Sheriff Deputies cite a man after finding marijuana and a monkey in his car.
Deputies say Tyler Forke got into a single car accident Thursday afternoon near NW 84th and Holdrege. When deputies arrived Forke was waiting for a tow truck. The deputy approached to make sure everything was okay when he found a Tamarin monkey in a cage with Forke. As the deputy asked questions Forke's story was suspicious and then the deputy found marijuana and a pipe in the cage with the monkey.
The monkey, whose name is Elvis, was taken to the Humane Society but was released back to the owner Friday morning after documentation was provided.
Forke was cited for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and animal neglect.
