Thunderstorms spawned heavy rain, hail and at least one confirmed tornado in central Nebraska.
The National Weather Service office in North Platte says the tornado was spotted several times, with the last sighting seven miles south of Arnold just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Meteorologist Chauncy Schultz said Wednesday morning that the office had received no injury reports.
Logan County emergency services manager Richard Cook says the Stapleton fire department tracked the tornado as it ran about 11 miles north of town. He'd gotten no reports of damage or injuries either.
Hail up to 1.75 inches in diameter was reported south of Chappell, and winds estimated at 60-70 mph toppled trees in Lewellen and Oshkosh.
Broken Bow reported more than an inch of rain.
