Carp-o-Rama Teaches Families to Catch Fish

Families and fishermen wanting to learn all aspects of carp fishing turned out at Carp-o-Rama Saturday.
Nebraska Game and Parks officials said carp are one of the smartest fish swimming in Nebraska's waters and can be a worthy challenge for the best of anglers.
Officials said to be consistently successful, anglers need to learn some of the tricks and tips specifically for carp.
"We need to get people out and introduce them to fishing," said Larry Pape with Nebraska Game and Parks. "Carp are a good species to do that because they are everywhere and they're easy to catch and and they're good to introduce families into because they can bring their kids out and we can show the. how to do it cheaply and how to do it effectively
