Near Waverly, Neb. -- An early morning rollover crash sends one child to the hospital by helicopter and four by ambulance.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday, on westbound I-80, mm 416, NSP investigated a single vehicle rollover crash involving a 2000 Chevy Suburban. The driver, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered north ditch and rolled coming to rest on its side.
A 12-year old boy in the vehicle was ejected. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the vehicle, Magda Lorenzo, 29, Pomona, Calif., front seat passenger Enrique O. Lorenzo, 31, Pomona, Calif., and their 12-year old son, Enrique J. Lorenzo, were transported to Bryan-West in Lincoln with non-life threatening injuries.
Two other children in the vehicle an 8-year old girl and an 8 month old male were not injured.
