Economic Stress Up, Nebraska Among Least Stressed
An Associated Press analysis of economic stress shows California, Michigan and South Carolina suffered the most financial pain in May.

An Associated Press analysis of economic stress shows California, Michigan and South Carolina suffered the most financial pain in May.
The average county's stress score, fueled by worsening unemployment, foreclosures and bankruptcies, rose to 10 in May, from 9.7 in April.
In May 2008, the average stress score was 6.2.
The AP calculates a score from 1 to 100 based on each county's unemployment, foreclosure and bankruptcy rates. The higher the score, the higher the economic stress.
North Dakota and Nebraska were the least stressed states in May, with county scores averaging under 5. Nebraska has benefited from the relative strength of two of its main industries: agriculture and food production.

That depends on who you talk to, my husband finally found a job, and was released after 25 hours of work, because he lacked the computer skills which the employer was aware of at his interview. However, he is 58 years old, and was told he was not a good fit for the job. What is that mean? This was from one of our local hospitals. Now we are having trouble getting him back on his unemployment benefits. Just call me STRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
