A member of the University of Nebraska football team was in court Tuesday facing charges that stemmed from an April traffic stop in Lincoln.
Lancaster County Court records show that wide receiver Niles Paul was fined $150 by Judge Jean Lovell for reckless driving. However, minor in possession and driving under suspension charges were dropped.
The Nebraska State Patrol originally arrested the 19-year old Paul on suspicion of driving under the influence, but he was never charged with DUI. He had been pulled over in west Lincoln in the early morning hours of April 12.
He was suspended from the team after his arrest and missed this spring's Red-White Game.
Paul started four games last season and returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown against New Mexico State.
