A police officer who fired two shots at her home during a fight with her boyfriend has been given probation and at least 24 days in jail.
Randi Hieb resigned from the Ashland Police Department after the incident in December.
The 24-year-old had pleaded no contest in Saunders County District Court to third-degree domestic assault and criminal mischief.
Hieb must serve weekends in jail for a year. The rest of her 90-day jail term can be waived if approved by probation authorities.
Authorities say Hieb and her boyfriend got into a dispute at their Ashland home.
The boyfriend locked her out. Hieb then fired two shots at their home with her .40-caliber pistol.
No charges were filed against the boyfriend.
