A memorial service has been scheduled for a 19-year-old University of Nebraska-Lincoln student who hasn't been seen since he jumped into the Missouri River on June 27.
The service for Chris Dedinsky is scheduled for Thursday in Omaha.
Friend Jean Kardell says Dedinsky's relatives are seeking closure for themselves, friends and others who helped search for him or his body.
Authorities say Dedinsky jumped in the river while boating with friends about seven miles south of Decatur in northeast Nebraska.
His friends say Dedinsky never surfaced; his body has not been found.
