While the economic slowdown continues to show its presence throughout the country - one business here in the capital city is expanding. Fiserv Incorporated dedicated its fourth building on its Lincoln campus Wednesday with the help of Governor Dave Heineman and Mayor Chris Beutler. The financial services business currently employs 720 people, but the president of bank solutions says the addition of its new building will help Lincoln's economy.
"I think it's a good thing for the city of Lincoln that it means our business continues to grow that we continue to add jobs to the workforce," said Tom Cypher, President of Bank Solutions with Fiserv. "We are big supports of this community we recognizing that Lincoln has had a lot to do with our success. It's the quality of the people the education system have given us all the skills and the tools that we need to be so successful. I think this is going to continue to help us and to help Lincoln."
The 70,000 square foot, three-story building can accommodate 285 people. Fiserv has more than 22,000 people serving banks of all sizes throughout the world and 33 percent of all banks in the United States run Fiserv solutions.
