Authorities say a 26-year-old man from David City has died of injuries suffered in an accident while riding an all-terrain vehicle.

Harlan County Attorney Bryan McQuay said in a news release Friday that Jonathan Moravec had been injured on July Fourth. A call to his office was not immediately returned.

The sheriff's office says Moravec died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Authorities say Moravec was with a friend on the ATV Saturday on a trail south of Republican City.

Moravec lost control and was thrown off the ATV, suffering severe head injuries. His friend was not hurt.
