Two brothers from Laurel are stationed only 45 miles apart in Iraq, but they are not able to get together very often.

Aaron Diediker is in Baghdad and his brother, Andrew, is to the north at Balad. They've been within an hour's drive of each other since March, but they haven't always known that.

When Andrew first arrived in Iraq, it was two months before his parents received a communication from him.

As soon as the brothers knew each other's location, they began working on a plan to meet, which took almost six months to accomplish.

The brothers now communicate more frequently. However, they don't know when they will have the opportunity to meet again.
