City Plowers Hit the Streets

City plowers were out at 7a.m. Tuesday morning putting salt on the roads. Soon after that they began plowing the streets.

"Right now we're into a full emergency snow route plowing operation. We will continue that until we see how this weather is holding. Then once we've been over the routes once we'll go back over them and make sure that we get them opened up curb to curb," said Street Maintenance Supervisor Andrews Edwards.

Street plowing crews will be working throughout the night on Tuesday and all Wednesday morning.

Lincoln is not in a snow emergency. However, the city is asking that residents move their cars from emergency snow routes and arterial streets.
