I live approx. four miles from here on the same road and it really does make you stop and think. There has been so many times I've failed to come to a complete stop and it so easily been me. My thoughts and prayers are with the family's. Lets all stop and remember that it could happen to any of us!

But do we know for sure she ran the stop sign. It was also reported that way on the Raymond accident last week by 10/11 and Lincoln Journal that she blew through the stop sign but from what I hear from the local area, Channel 8 (only was at the scene) and had it correct - she stopped and looked but did not see anything at this bad intersection and proceeded across - she still got the failure to yield ticket as she had the stop sign but this does not mean she ran the stop sign - the media are not reporting all the truths in their stories - that lady always has about 2 small glasses of beer and was just fairly over the low limit now so the news makes it sound much different. With the high corn, etc in the fields now -it is very hard to see at the intersections with or without stop signs. And, the Raymond intersection is deadly and definitely needs a stop light before more are killed there - there has been several already and many injuries there. And give the benefit of doubt here.

It is so sickening to see people running stop signs and a death could've been avoided. I was lucky 3 years ago as I lived but could've died as someone ran a stop sign ahead of me on a highway. People really need to start obeying the stop signs!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
