The Nebraska Unicameral begins the second week of the 2004 session debating several bills left over from last year.
Legislators plan for an early debate on a proposed ban on human cloning. Nine states already have laws regarding human cloning, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Another bill would abolish Nebarska's eleven-year-old campaign finance law. The law took center stage in 2000, when Randy Ferlic defeated Rosemary Skrupa for a seat on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.
Ferlic spent $289,000 in his campaign, while Skrupa was the first Nebarska candidate ever to receive public funds.
