U.S. Attorney: Man Sentenced For the Assault of a Woman
Omaha A news release from the U.S. Attorney office says a 24-year-old man has been sentenced after assaulting a woman on the Omaha Indian Reservation.

A news release from U.S. Attorney Joe Stecher's office says 24-year-old Roman Harlan of Macy, Nebraska was sentenced Wednesday for the offense of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
The Honorable Laurie A. Smith Camp sentenced Harlan to 51 months in prison. After his release from prison, Harlan will begin a three year term of supervised release.
According to the news release from the U.S. Attorney, Harlan assaulted a woman on the Omaha Indian Reservation. The release says she was struck repeatedly in the face as she held a four-month-old child. The victim was in a wheelchair at the time due to an earlier stroke.
The U.S. Attorney's office says after taking the child from the victim, Harlan took the woman to the ground and struck her repeatedly with his hands and feet.
