A late night party turns into trouble for 4 Nebraska football players. Lincoln Police say they responded to a disturbance call around 2 A.M. Saturday morning at 1225 Garfield St.
When police arrived most people dispersed, but among those that didn't include at least 1 former and 4 current Huskers. Defensive end Benard Thomas and former split end Wilson Thomas were both arrested on suspicion of being an inmate of a disorderly house, failing to disperse, resisting arrest, and failing to comply with a lawful order.
Jemayel Phillips was arrested on suspicion of maintaining a disorderly house, failing to comply, and resisting arrest. A fourth person was also arrested, but has no apparent connection to the team. The three players were not listed as being in the jail as of late Saturday.
Two other Huskers were ticketed at the scene. Mark Brungardt and Grant Mulkey were cited for maintaining a disorderly house. Mulkey was arrested in San Antonio for suspicion of marijuana possession following the Alamo Bowl late last month.
