Three of Nebraska's Republican Congressmen have sent a letter to President Bush asking him to make the energy bill a high priority for his State of the Union Address on Tuesday.

Congressmen Tom Osborne, Lee Terry and Doug Bereuter joined 22 other Congressmen and women in writing a letter that urges Bush to push for the completion of the energy bill, which is languishing in the Senate.

The letter says completing the bill is critical to sustaining the momentum driving an economic recovery.

Terry said because the Senate is dragging its feet on the bill, numerous energy projects have been postponed, including many renewable developments.
