An 18-year-old college student was killed early Monday morning in a one-car accident in rural Valley County.
According to the Valley County attorney's office, Jesse W. Ziegler was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on a gravel road four miles south of Ord.
Valley County attorney, Randy Cullers, said the accident was reported at about 2 a.m.
Ziegler was a 2003 graduate of Ord High School. He was a freshman at Nebraska Wesleyan University majoring in physics.
Ziegler's death is the eleventh on Nebraska's highways and roads in 2004.
